Chatting with Asians is a delight. Angie’s questions are thoughtful and poignant, drawing out the best answers from her guests. Her voice and personality is unassuming, kind, and inviting. She is just the type of person you would want to have long chats with. It’s been great to be able to listen to her on my commute. This podcast is a great find.

Angie really hits home with this podcast. Truthfully, there has been a huge gap for quite awhile in the discussions of what the Asian-American experience has been like and Angie explores into it with finer detail which the audience can connect with. I’ve identified with the cultural experiences of many of her speakers, the job search as a creative, and the overall livelihood of growing up as one of the only Asian-Americans in my area. Her podcast goes into depth with various topics to introduce and many times re-introduce the things that I had to live and grow up with - that I can find community and relate to. I 100% feel like these experiences are important to acknowledge now so our generation can respond to the direction that our society is going in. I’m excited to hear from more guests~!

Angie has a magic strength in finding people who are doing amazing things and leading change - on top of being Asian Americans. She is such a great listener, asking questions to guide the conversation while also creating the space needed. I love listening to this when I want to remind myself we’re part of something greater. Also, Angie’s voice is so soothing too!!

When I first listened to this podcast, I wasn’t 100% sure what to expect. But I just love how each episode is uniquely different from the last; Episodes on artists, chefs, writers, and those in film. These conversations have many layers, you get to understand the guest and their inspiring journey coming into their own- as Asian Americans. It also really hits close to home when you listen and have these “Aha! Me too!” moments. It’s honest, relatable and gives a sense that somehow you’ve known these people on a deeper level, even when you’ve never met them at all! Guess it’s an Asian thing? But I’m always looking forward to the next episodes, looks like season 2 might delve into areas beyond careers and a little more on mental health and self care, which just means it’s about to get even more damn good.

Love this podcast and Angie - it’s a great time to be Asian (new T-shirt slogan)? We are here, we are everywhere, we are doing a variety of things. Can’t wait to hear who Angie discovers next and get inspired and informed.
